Notice to Illinois
policyholders affected by flood disaster
June 18, 2008.
As a result of the flooding disaster
in areas of Illinois, the Director of the Division
of Insurance ordered that steps be taken by
insurance companies to address the disruption felt
by affected policyholders and claimants by
providing additional time for them to pay
premiums, have damaged properties repaired or take
any other actions required by insurers with due
dates during this period.
If you have been affected by the flooding
disaster in one of the counties declared a
disaster area by Governor Blagojevich or President
Bush, or if you have been affected by this
disaster and reside in another county, and you are
a policyholder of RLI Insurance Company, RLI
Indemnity Company or Mt. Hawley Insurance Company,
this notice applies to you. If you have a dispute
or an issue with an action we have taken with
respect to your policy or claim-that is related to
the disaster-please contact your agent first. If
you still cannot obtain satisfactory resolution,
you may contact the Company by phone at its
toll-free customer service number 1-800-331-4929
or by e-mail at inquiries@rlicorp.com.
If you are still unable to resolve the dispute
or issue, you may seek assistance from the
