Which umbrella policy is right for me?

If you are a producer who writes business through casualty wholesalers and you want to do a wide variety of umbrella business, RLI’s brokerage commercial umbrella policy is right for you. Get more information on brokerage commercial umbrella.

Our eXS small umbrella offers similar coverage in lower limits and to a more defined list of customers.

To help you choose, does your business or your applicant fit the following eXS umbrella criteria?

1.
The business has 10 or less automotive power units and a radius of operations less than 100 miles. No extra heavy trucks, tractor trailers or buses. No owned or non-owned autos providing delivery services.

2. The business has annual sales/receipts no greater than $7,500,000.

3. The business may have an apartment and/or habitational risks in buildings three stories or less in height with no more than 500 units, and no HUD, Section 8 or subsidized housing.

4. The business may have office, retail/wholesale or other OL&T risks in buildings less than 50,000 square feet at any single location.

5. The business may be a general contractor, but construction of buildings cannot exceed three stories in height or 250,000 square feet in area.

6. The business or applicant must have a record of claims within the last five years which does not exceed:

(a) $100,000 in the aggregate within any one year for any one line of coverage; or

(b) $50,000 for any single loss.
